This is in response to your ad which appeared in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for Local Charitable Organization Executive Director. As a lifelong resident of St Louis, I am very interested in this position. I would like to utilize my leadership, organizational, management, and fund-raising skills for the betterment of this community.

As you can see from the enclosed résumé, I have a vast amount of experience which would benefit the Local Charitable Organization. My fund-raising abilities are extensive. Aside from the usual church and school volunteer fund-raising, I have been involved with area civic organizations for years. With the ABCDE Campaign I have solicited funds annually and met or exceeded my assigned goals. Alpha Alpha Alpha Sorority, a strictly charitable group, sponsors four to five underprivileged children at SLSB each year, providing clothing, other necessities, and seasonal and birthday parties. Through the Business Education Association, which is the business/school partnership for our school district, I served on the committee to determine the business/school relationships. With AMBUCS I have used my sales and fund-raising skills to solicit items for the annual auction. I have also served on the Board for many years and have been involved in fund-raising expenditure decisions.

My salary has been within industry norms for each of my positions, and I assume that you can offer a competitive salary, as well as challenge and opportunity.
