Ms. Barbara Blixen
Director of Public Relations
Salomon Smith Barney
70 Broadway
New York, NY, 10010

Dear Ms. Blixen:

You have advertised for an Assistant Media Coordinator. As an energetic and capable recent graduate with a degree in Communications, and work experience as a communications teachers' assistant my background should meet your requirements.

At C.W. Post University, I recently earned a B.A. in Communications with an emphasis in both public relations and media relations. My academic studies, intense interest in communication sciences, and demanding internship experiences have fully prepared me to make an immediate contribution to Salomon Smith Barney.

Five years of working a variety of summer positions has given me a business-related perspective and sharpened my organizational and administrative skills. During my last semester at C. W. Post, I held teachers' assistant positions tutoring and teaching two communications courses to 42 students. I was the catalyst for developing and attaining one of the two TA positions, and was given excellent evaluations by both professors and students.

Taking initiative has always been my academic and career focus. I certainly understand responsibility, hold an intense work-ethic, and strive to do my best in any situation. I'd like to meet and discuss the ways in which I can contribute my experience and energy Salomon Smith Barney's media department.

Sincerely,

Christine Wong
